I am a former BBC online journalist with 18 years experience in print and multimedia publications. My experience includes creating original journalism and long-form features for the BBC website. In the past year I have had extensive experience of reporting on Austrian politics, news and the coronavirus pandemic on radio and TV for the BBC World Service, BBC World TV news, BBC Radio 2 (Jeremy Vine show), BBC Five Live (Adrian Chiles, Colin Murray, Johnny I’Anson and Stephen Nolan), BBC Scotland, BBC Wales, BBC Northern Ireland and LBC. I have also reported for The Daily Telegraph, The Local Austria, the Culture Trip website and the Austrian weekly newspaper, Die Furche.
I have a degree in English Literature and Italian, speak German to C1.1 (fluent) level, and have NTCJ senior qualifications in print journalism, politics and media law as well as over a decade’s experience in online journalism and social media, including filming/recording and editing audio and video.
My interests include: Austrian news and politics, running, cinema and literature. I particularly enjoy reporting on public health campaigns, history, the arts and the cultural and linguistic quirks of Austria.
